COURSE BANK REQUIREMENT for all SportsCAM majors pursuing the RTF Sports Production Concentration

Students in this course work in three progressive modes of operation: 1) warm-up production activities honing skills in shooting, editing, and writing; 2) producing content for a semi-weekly sportscast television program (typically 4 episodes of a 10-minute show per semester); and 3) working on live multi-camera television-style production coverage of collegiate sporting events.

The sportscast program is known as PROFS HUDDLE and can be seen on YouTube – Profs Huddle YouTube Playlist.

The live sports coverage project occurs via a partnership with Rowan Athletics, and some content can also be seen on YouTube. Here is an example of live game coverage produced for this course: Rowan University Baseball vs William Paterson University, Saturday 4/17/21, Doubleheader Game 2.

This course is offered with one section per regular (Fall/Spring) semester.
