This advanced TV production course provides students knowledge and practice for approaching the coverage and broadcast/stream of real-world, live events. Techniques for single-camera, multi-camera edit, and multi-camera live switch / line cut are explored in both written and practical assignments, as well as collaborative projects. Events traditionally include performances (e.g., concerts, theatrical and dance shows) and competition (e.g., sports). Extensive pre-production research contributes to production team success in the field and in post production.  This course requires students to attend and cover real-world live events outside of class time, which will be scheduled as far in advance as possible.  Events do not coincide with the regular weekly class meeting day/time.
